Take part in Safer Internet Day 2023

Safer Internet Day will be taking place on 7th February this year, with the theme ‘Want to talk about it? Making space for conversations about life online.’

Coordinated by the UK Safer Internet Centre, this day see’s organisations from across the country getting involved to promote safe and responsible use of digital technology for children and young people.

To mark the ‘Safer internet’ day in February this year, our cyber team are inviting parents to join their online webinar about internet safety.

This webinar will go over some of the issues that parents may be concerned about, including social media safety, online gaming and discussing your child’s online activities with them.

John Hammond, Cyber Protect Officer in the East Midlands said: “After the success of last years webinar for Safer Internet Day, we have decided to run a similar one this year to help parents on how they can better protect their children online.

“By following National Cyber Security Centre approved advice, our aim is to educate parents on protecting their children from becoming victims of cybercrime and fraud.

“It is so important to understand the risks of children using digital technology and so we really encourage parents to join this webinar to learn more about online safety.”
